Life Purpose
I bet disappointment has ever bothered everyone's life and drag them into an unpleasant zone where life seems no longer interesting. You gonna be wondered all the time, why?
Still, people hardly try to both endure and continue the days ignoring that question, sticking with a cup of coffee, raise an adaptation over the new environment, doing kinda usual stuff.
One day I realized there is something more important and needs to be concerned rather than what I have believed in so far.
1. Happiness is not a target
We all know that people now are bustling about how to be happy or happier. Hence it becomes such a purpose of why the human was born. While we don't really recognize the definition itself actually has an impact on our viewpoint and behavior, even also result in some temporary happiness.
Imagine if our target is being happy, who can guarantee that being happy would be enough for us? would it be long last? the fact is, people do have fluctuating desire and emotion, no one can assure its stability. It's clearly possible they might not be satisfied then return on enhancing their target, it would be going on and on.
Thereupon happiness gotta be placed in a certain way. It supposed to not be placed as a target but will be better to place it as a gift or bonus. What people should do is cultivating kindness and bear it up. Sounds hypocrite? undoubtedly agree, yet I got it over the time and found a bloody messed point within observing the situation.
Chasing a bliss, you might do something good or mostly something bad. This is mere impermanent happiness.
Doing a favor, you might be winning sincere happiness. Sometimes it won't please you, however, it's better than just a mare's nest.
2. Don't measure your life by society's materialistic standard
Being successful is what everyone dreams about, sometimes people judge it by material prosperity or even they do it to classify their circle. What they have? what they wear? what they use? how much is it?
This way of thinking continues until people will tightly compete with one another, compare their life, measure it, then unconsciously end into displeasure.
The fact of human natural feeling whose satisfaction always never been fulfilled is even often forgotten. Whereas, in enduring life, we do not have to neither sacrifice our standard becomes that terrifying, nor neglect our responsibility. We can put the standard equally with our responsibility, remember that the higher standard itself does give us a bigger responsibility, and it's very holy risky. What does the matter of life if we breath with unlimited insecurity?
Please differentiate and be well-understood among standard and responsibility.
Responsibility takes us up to a certain purpose of life.
Standard is something that can be adjusted, its placement determines how true our path are to get a certain purpose of life.
So the question is, what is your purpose of life? Think it carefully.
